Our goal at the Harvard Representation Initiative is to provide legal representation and social service support to all the undocumented/DACAmented members of the Harvard community and to assist those who are concerned about falling out of legal status. In its first year, the HRI team provided free legal consultations to over 170 members of the Harvard community, and the team continues to reach new clients across Harvard’s campuses. HRI also seeks to keep our community informed on immigration policy updates through resources such as Know Your Rights presentations and our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Legal Services
Our legal representation includes assistance with filing immigration applications, representing clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), in Immigration Court, and beyond. All Harvard community members with immigration questions are encouraged to schedule a free consultation with staff attorney Jason Corral or Mariam Liberles of the Harvard Representation Initiative.

Social Services
We offer social work support to all clients as part of their legal representation. Our clinical social worker, Liala Buoniconti, can support you with a variety of concerns, including emotional support, health insurance problems, financial concerns, food insecurity, or other issues related to immigration stressors.

Emergency Hotline
If you are a Harvard community member who is facing an immigration-related emergency, please contact our emergency hotline at 857-242-6755. Calls will be directed to on‐call attorneys who can provide legal counsel and other assistance on time‐sensitive matters. Please use this line for emergencies only.
